Rish Outfield is an author of many short stories, novels, and everything in between. He is also an audiobook narrator and podcaster. Check out the Rish Outcast and Amazon for more of his stories. Rish is also an ancient immortal from Scotland who is training Connor MacLeod in battle so that he can become the last immortal on Earth and obtain The Prize.

Wilson Fowlie lives in a suburb of Vancouver, Canada, and has been reading stories out loud since the age of four. He credits any talent he has in this area to his parents, who were both excellent at reading aloud. He started narrating stories for more than just his own family in late 2008. Since then, he has gone on to read dozens of stories for PodCastle and the other Escape Artists ’casts, and many other fiction podcasts all over the web. He does all this narrating when not reading copy for corporate videos, and acting in local theatre productions.

Outfield Excursion #39 - The Monster of Piedras Blancas (1959)

An old lighthouse keeper, who lives with his daughter, tries to suppress the legend of a prehistoric amphibious reptile monster, even though he knows of its existence. However, when the monster begins attacking the quaint beach town of Piedras Blancas, people start losing their heads, literally.

We also get distracted by talking about the 1970's Shazam Saturday morning show and recent movies. When we run out of things to talk about, Rish regales us with his experience watching the 1987 John Cusack action comedy film Hot Pursuit.

Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, popularly known as J. S. Le Fanu, was an Irish writer of Gothic literature, mystery novels, and horror fiction. Considered by critics to be one of the greatest ghost story writers of the Victorian era, his works were central to the development of the genre during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Lucille Fletcher was an American screenwriter of film, radio and television. Her most notable credits include 1) "The Hitch-Hiker," an original radio play written for Orson Welles, and adapted for The Twilight Zone television series, and 2) "Sorry, Wrong Number," one of the most celebrated plays in the history of American radio, which she adapted and expanded for the 1948 film noir classic of the same name.

Columbia Workshop was a radio series that aired on the Columbia Broadcasting System from 1936 to 1943, and returning in 1946–47. Over its run, the program was directed by Irving Reis, William N. Robson, and Norman Corwin.
