The Six Shooter was a Western program starring James Stewart as Britt Ponset, a drifting cowboy in the final years of the wild west, which ran on NBC radio from Sept. 1953 to June 1954.

Trekkin' Log #28 - The Captain's Daughter, a novel by Peter David

Join Keith and Marshal as we trek aboard the Enterprise 1701-B with Captain John Harriman, and his helmsman, Ensign Demora Sulu, daughter of Captain Hikaru Sulu, former helmsman of the first Enterprise. On the planet Askalon V, Demora suddenly attacks Captain Harriman, and is killed in self-defense. Now Captain Harriman has to face Captain Sulu, who has many questions he wants answered.

Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19, 1809 and became an American author, poet, editor and literary critic. Best known for his tales of mystery and the macabre, Poe was one of the earliest American practitioners of the short story and is considered the inventor of the detective fiction genre, as well as the genre of science fiction.  He was the first well-known American writer to try to earn a living through writing alone, resulting in a financially difficult life and career.  Poe died in 1849,  in Baltimore, under mysterious circumstances, but he left us with a legacy of tales of wonder and woe, the marvelous and the macabre.
